2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of power,
the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD -
3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears... (NIV)
Thot: We need the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge, and fear of the Lord. So, let's delight ourselves in the Lord. We don't live by sight but by faith. Be careful not to trust and judge in what you see or hear. Trust only in the Lord and in what His Word says! Let that dictate what you see and hear. The true reality is what God says, not what we see with our eyes or hear with our ears.
